Futura Prediction Markets
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") governs how FUTURA PREDICTION MARKETS, a company duly incorporated and operating under the laws of the Republic of Panama (hereinafter referred to as the "Company" or "Futura"), collects, uses, processes, maintains, and protects the personal information of individuals (hereinafter referred to as "Users" or "User") arising from access to and use of the Futura Prediction Market platform and associated services (the "Platform"). This Policy applies to personal data processed in the context of the Services. It does not apply to third-party services accessed through links, integrations, wallets, or external providers, which remain subject to their respective policies.
When accessing, connect a digital wallet (walletBy using the Platform, the User acknowledges and expressly agrees to the guidelines and rules established in this Policy.
Definitions
(a) “Personal data” means information that identifies or can identify the User, directly or indirectly.
(b) “Processing” means any operation on personal data, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, use, sharing, deletion and analysis.
(c) “Public blockchain data” means data and metadata recorded on public networks (e.g., wallet addresses and transactions), which can be viewed by third parties independently of Futura.
1. Information and Data Collected
The Company collects essential information to ensure the Platform's operation and proper regulatory compliance. This data may be provided directly by the User or collected automatically during interaction with the Interface.
1.1. Data provided by the User
(a) Identification and registrationName, date of birth, nationality, contact information (email, phone, address) and other registration data.
(b)Identity and compliance:Tax identification number and/or identity document applicable to the User's country (e.g., CPF), copies or extracts of documents, selfie, and proof of residence, when required by verification and fraud prevention procedures.
(c) CommunicationsContent sent to customer service. Reference policies include retaining correspondence and, in certain cases, recording communications for security and compliance purposes.
1.2. Data collected automatically
(a) Technical and usage data:IP address, date and time of access, pages and resources accessed, logs, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, language, time zone, network information, click events, and performance.
(b) Approximate location data: inferred from the IP address and, when enabled by the User and technically applicable, more precise data derived from device permissions.
(c) Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers and information collected by cookies, pixel tags, web beacons and equivalent technologies.
1.3. Financial and transactional data
(a) Account details:Credentials, preferences, security settings, interaction history, and communications with support.
(b) Transactional and financial data:Orders, positions, trading history, deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks, payment identifiers, and information necessary to process payments and fulfill integrity and compliance obligations. Futura may use payment providers and/or custody service providers, who process some of this information according to their own terms.
1.4. Data obtained from third parties
Futura may receive data from: (a) identity verification, fraud prevention and due diligence providers; (b) payment providers; (c) infrastructure and analytics providers; (d) technical partners in authorized integrations; (e) legitimate public sources and databases for validation and risk mitigation, when permitted.
1.5. Public data and data inherent to the use of blockchain.
If the Services involve transactions on public networks, wallet addresses and transactions may be inherently public and traceable on blockchain explorers. Futura may display, index, or reference public information related to transactions and addresses, including for purposes of operational transparency, auditing, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Futura does not control the persistence of these records on public networks. Requests for deletion or anonymization do not apply to public and immutable records maintained by decentralized networks.
2. Treatment
Futura processes Personal Data for purposes compatible with the operation of the Services and with risk, security, and compliance requirements, including:
(a) Provision and execution of servicesAccount creation and maintenance, order and transaction processing, risk management, settlement, customer service, and operational communications.
(b) Legal and regulatory compliance: identity verification, integrity and prevention of illicit activities, fraud prevention, detection of security incidents, investigation of suspicious activities, application of integrity rules and usage restrictions, responding to legitimate requests from authorities, audits, complaint management, reporting obligations and retention.
(c) Safety and integrityIncident detection, abuse prevention, internal investigations, and protection.
(d) Improvement and developmentPerformance analysis, usage metrics, testing, debugging, research and development, feature and user experience improvements.
(e)Communications and marketing: sending transactional and administrative messages. Promotional communications, when available, are handled with opt-out mechanisms and preferences.
When required by applicable law, Futura will use consent, or another appropriate basis, for specific activities (for example, certain non-essential cookies).
3. Data Sharing
Futura may share personal data in the following circumstances, to the extent necessary and proportionate:
(a) Service providers:Hosting providers, security, monitoring, analytics, customer service, messaging, identity verification, fraud prevention, auditing, and payment processing.
(b) Authorized partners and integrations:when the User requests, enables, or authorizes connection to external services (e.g., third-party authentication, wallets, gateways, and integrations).
(c) Legal obligations and protection:to comply with the law, a court order, an order from a competent authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Futura, Users, and the public, including investigating violations of the applicable terms.
(d) Corporate transactions:In the event of restructuring, reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or equivalent event, data may be transferred as part of the transaction, provided that confidentiality and continuity of protection requirements are respected.
(e)Aggregated or anonymized data:Futura may share statistics and reports in aggregated or anonymized format that does not reasonably identify the User.
Futura does not sell personal data as a marketing product. If data is shared for interest-based advertising, appropriate information and control mechanisms will be provided.
4. Cookies and Preferences
The Services may use cookies and similar technologies for: (a) operation and security; (b) authentication; (c) fraud prevention; (d) preferences and performance; (e) metrics andanalytics(f) where applicable, advertising and campaign measurement.
Users can manage cookies through their browser settings and, where available, through preference tools presented in the Services. Disabling essential cookies may compromise functionality.
“Do Not Track” signals may not be interpreted uniformly, and the Services may not respond to such signals.
5. International Transfers
The User's personal information may be transferred, maintained, and processed on servers and in jurisdictions located outside the User's country, state, or province of residence, where data protection laws may differ from those of their jurisdictional origin. By interacting with the Platform, the User expressly agrees to the international transfer and storage of their data, aware that the Company will adopt reasonable measures and appropriate controls to ensure that the processing of such data occurs securely and in accordance with the provisions of this Policy.
6. Retention and Disposal
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to: (a) perform the Services; (b) comply with legal, regulatory and audit obligations; (c) protect rights in disputes; (d) prevent fraud and abuse.
After the applicable term expires, Futura deletes, anonymizes, or de-identifies the data, when feasible and permitted. Public blockchain records, by their nature, may remain permanently available outside of Futura's control.
7. Information Security
Futura adopts administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or improper disclosure. Even so, no method of transmission or storage is absolutely secure. Futura cannot guarantee complete security against sophisticated attacks, third-party failures, compromise of the User's device, or credentials obtained through social engineering.
8. User Rights and Requests
In accordance with best practices in data protection regulations, the User is guaranteed the right to exercise formal rights over their personal information by requesting it through the Company's official channels:
(a) Access and Rectification:The right to request a copy of personal data held by the Company and to request the correction of information that proves to be inaccurate or outdated.
(b) Deletion (Erasure) and Restriction:The right to request the deletion of data or the limitation of its processing. Such deletion may be refused or postponed if continued retention is imperative for the resolution of disputes, ensuring the security of the Platform, or complying with legal obligations (such as maintaining transaction histories).
(c) Portability, Objection and Revocation of Consent:The right to receive data in a structured and machine-readable format, as well as the right to withdraw previously granted consent or to formally object to the processing of information.
Such requests may be limited when: (a) there is an obligation to retain; (b) deletion is technically unfeasible; (c) there is a need for fraud prevention, security or defense of rights; (d) it involves public blockchain records outside of Futura's control.
To exercise your rights, Futura may request identity verification and minimum information to authenticate the request and prevent fraud.
9. Age Eligibility
The Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. If Futura identifies improper handling of a minor's data, it will take reasonable measures to delete it, without prejudice to retention and security obligations.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to or allow integrations with third-party services. Futura does not control the privacy practices of these third parties. Users should review the applicable policies before using external services.
11. Changes to this Policy
Futura may change this Policy to reflect changes in the Services, legal or regulatory requirements, or internal practices. The current version is the one published on the Services, with the date of the last update. Continued use after changes implies knowledge of the updated version.
12. Contact
Futura may send transactional and administrative communications related to your account, security, and operations. These communications are necessary for the provision of the Services and cannot be broadly disabled.
When promotional communications are sent, the User can opt out of receiving them via the unsubscribe mechanism or through available preferences.
